Lost is one of my favorite shows, and if the ratings are any indication, I'm not alone. I even got my husband to watch it, which is a big feat since he doesn't really watch TV- EVER! Season 4 was one of the best seasons, and I think it's because everyone finally stopped trying to figure out every single mystery and just decided that they would get all the answers at some point in the future. :)

With this DVD being released right before Christmas (today, in fact), it's certain to be on a lot of Christmas lists. Especially since the new season begins soon.

I just finished watching Across the Universe. A friend recommended it a while back, and I meant to see it before now, but hadn't gotten around to it. It was... okay. See, during the movie, you spend the entire time waiting for your favorite Beatles song, rather than just watching the movie. BUT... the same thing that works against the movie works in favor of the soundtrack. Instead of waiting through the whole movie, you can go to your favorite song and listen. You get a bunch of really cool cover versions.

This is the only movie that I've ever gone to see in the theaters twice. Wait- maybe not. I think I went to see The Little Mermaid, but I didn't want to go one of the times (went because some friends were). So, the more accurate statement is- this is the only film I've ever wanted to see twice in the theaters.

The Dark Knight had and has some early Oscar buzz. And I don't think it has anything to do with Heath Ledger's death. It's just because he was phenomenal. Do I think that it will win the Oscar? Sadly, no. But I think it just might deserve to.

You know that this movie is going to be on everyone's Christmas list. And I suppose there are a lot of people that are waiting to buy it as a gift because the people who like it are anxious to run out and buy it that day. I don't think you should wait. Get it and hint that they should wait.

Beginning next week and running through Christmas Eve, I will be presenting a gift idea each day. These will give you some ideas on what to get various family members. I will try and make sure I've got something for everyone, and you'll have such a wide range of choices that it will be difficult to decide.
