Miu Miu- White, Red, Black

It's hard to trash an outfit where they got so many things right. But ugly is ugly, right??

They nailed this dress technically. Every stitch is in place, the colors are perfect together, and the way the skirt lays is absolutely the best job I've ever seen. I've had to make big balloony things like that, and I can't manage it. They always turn out wrong. But the simple fact of the matter is, for everything they got right, they still blew it. The skirt is obscenely short. And it's too poofy to ever be of use to anyone. What I didn't say above was that I had to make sleeves that were like that as part of a dress I made for a fabric store where I worked. It was hideous, it was a costume, and it wasn't my choice. But this dress apparently was somebody's choice.

Miu Miu- Tuxedo

Hello. I'm Tasha, and I'll be your waitress this evening. While you're thinking about our menu, can I get you started with drinks and put in an appetizer for you?

In short, there is nobody who would wear this who doesn't have to as part of a job. Nobody wants to walk down the street in a tuxedo shirt and short black skirt combo, looking like they just served you food at a restaurant in Vegas. And especially with an elastic waist. *shudder* To those who have to wear it for a job, it works, because A) it's in the proper setting, and B) there's not much you can do about it. But on the street, uh-uh.

Miu Miu- Stripes

Are you freakin' kidding me?!? This is horrible!! I mean, the stripes are bad. BAD, bad, bad. But the real thing that kills it is that it's wrinkled looking. If you're going to make a nasty outfit, at least iron the thing.

Also, do I see an elastic waistband?? Ewwwwww.

Miu Miu- Short Green Dress

It seems rather chilly right now to be thinking of dresses this short. Okay, honestly, it's short even for the middle of July! But it is somewhat pretty. There are a lot of different prints, and I wish there were different textures as well. The black part helps tame it a lot. But the detached sleeves that are on her wrists are a little strange.

Overall, I can't recommend this, because there's just too much that's wrong about it.

Miu Miu- Sheer Shirt with Fireworks

Again, this is a trashy sheer shirt. But that's a really fortunate placement of the ruffle. ;)

But those shorts. DAMN! First, they are really short. Second, they are really shiny. Third, they are really innovative. Fourth, they are completely unwearable. lol In that order. ;)

Miu Miu- Sheer Outfit

I've seen the sheer shirts for years. I'm not a fan of them, because at the end of the day, it's just trashy. Just last week, I saw my first pair of sheer shorts. They were even trashier. But this is probably my first experience with a whole outfit that is sheer. What do I think about it?? Skanky.

Miu Miu- Ruffled Skirt

Long sleeves plus short skirt equals fashion no-no. It's just a weird look. And although I complained about the dark colors, this white isn't much better. Too dull.

Apart from that, I do like the tiny little ruffles. It's proving that ruffles aren't quite dead yet.

Miu Miu- Red Cape

Oh god. Can we please retire capes already?! The only person that could pull off a cape was Dracula, and even he had the good sense not to wear a short red cape. And because I'm feeling especially catty, what is up with that horribly short skirt?! That's a really trashy look.

Miu Miu- Puffy Top

I like the top of this dress much more, but it all goes wrong at the waistline. There is no reason to have a big puffy waist, increasing the overall silhouette of the garment. I like the playfulness of the geometric pattern, and the collar, but the length of the dress, and the puffy waist ruins the whole effect.

Miu Miu- The Mirror has Two Faces

LOL! Okay, just having fun with the title. ;)

This is another of those face patterns I spoke about yesterday. But unlike the others, this one has a normal face, and also one that is reversed. It's not an awful outfit, but it's not exceptionally well done either.

Miu Miu- Lattice Boots

This outfit is pretty interesting (not including the colors), but it's the boots that are really interesting. They have a lattice sort of cut in the material of the boot. This extends all the way up the boots. It's very innovative, but as far as actually wearing them, be careful. It will tend to look like hooker boots. lol

Miu Miu- Face

There are a lot of these face style prints in this collection. There are also a lot of REALLY short dresses like this one. Again, I'm not fond of the dark colors in this summer collection.

The print is interesting, but not enough to save the overall dress.

Miu Miu- Dragonfly Boots

There's a lot to talk about in this photo, so let's get started.

First of all, the whole collection is rather dark and dreary for a summer collection. Seriously, despite the length of the shorts, can you imagine wearing this in spring or summer? It's so sad looking!

The bodice is interesting. It looks like a pleated metallic blue shirt under a black corset with ruffles down the front. The corset in this case is an open one, and really part of the top, but that's how it appears.

But it's the dragonfly boots that catch my attention. There are so many interesting things you can do with footwear, and I've always joked that I've never met a shoe I didn't like, but these might be the first. They just aren't wearable! BUT, I will say this. As unwearable as they are, they are really interesting.
