Plates- Butterfly Plate

This is, without exception, the most beautiful, artistic plate I've ever seen. The plate has an asymmetrical edge on it, and a butterfly is perched on the edge of that lip. The lip helps hold in sauces, but the main reason to get it is the beauty. It says these are microwave and dishwasher safe. Frankly, if I'm eating off a plate that costs $34 each, was designed by a man who won awards for his plate designs, and has a butterfly on the edge, I'm also going to do some really cooking to serve in it, and it's probably never going to see the inside of a microwave. Really, can you imagine heating up a Patio burrito in this?!? And I'll be damned if that's ever going to touch the inside of my dishwasher!!

(Can you imagine stacking these?? Where would you even begin?)

Plates- Pizza Plates

These plates are great for when your family is having pizza. Each one holds a single slice, and it looks like a pepperoni pizza. The funny part is that they come packages in a pizza box, naturally. If you're ever giving one of those "movie and a gift" presents, this is a good gift for it.

Plates- Swirled Plates

I debated using a different title, but didn't want people to become disappointed. The title I almost used to describe these was "geode plates", because they look like someone split open some enormous solid geodes and sliced them into flat surfaces so that they could use them as dinnerware. The color varies from one to the next, and it's a very interesting look when paired with other similarly natural looking items.

Plates- Villa del Luna

Aren't these plates great?? All the colors and shapes would be out of place in most plates, but here, they really work. It gives it an old-world feel. I love that most of the pieces have their own pattern, but they all fit within the same theme. And those cups are awesome!

Plates- Mosaic Plates

These plates are a really nice style to use for everyday uses. And by really nice, I mean really nice. This isn't your typical Walmart $20 pack of plates. This is made by Villeroy & Boch, and the list price is $120. They are casual plates, despite the price. I like them, but frankly, I have children. There will not be any fine dinnerware in my house until they have left for college.

Plates- Dessert Plates

These plates are really cute, and have funny little things written on them. They are the kind you use when you have your girlfriends over for chick flick night. lol They come packaged in a hat box, which is a really nice touch.

Plates- Wine Salad and Dessert Plates

I think these plates are really cool. I wouldn't serve a salad on it, but I think dessert would be really neat. It would make it even more fun, because they are so colorful compared to any other plates out there. I really like these, and I might have to get a set. :D

Plates- White and Black Square Plates

I love those sort of square plates that have become so popular in the last few years. This is a good example. The plates have sort of a vanilla bean look, and are very natural looking. The square plates often have that natural sort of look to them, which I really like. I think that mixing would look nice too. Go with a square bowl on a matching round plate, and it would look so cool.
