Pot Racks- My Pot Rack

My own personal pot rack is rather unique. Instead of being round or square, it's flat. I found it a few years ago on Ebay and had to have it. A man who does wrought iron work made this, and he's got a good eye. It could have been straight scrollwork, but instead, there is a diamond, several circles, a couple of C's, and lots of scrolls. Together, they make a very lovely piece. It's as if someone took a small gate or fence panel, added some circles at the top to hang it, added a bar at the bottom to hold the pots, and hung it from the ceiling.

As I said, mine is a ceiling mount one, and the pots and pans hang from the bottom. Included with it are double sided hooks that allow me to hang two pots per hook. I like this style, because it means that I can hang about twelve pots in a 4" X 24" space. Needless to say, it fits very close to the wall, which is fantastic in my new apartment where space it at a premium.

I believe there's a perfect pot rack style out there for everyone. Some will need a more traditional one, some will need a professional size one, and some will need something a little different. This is definitely my perfect pot rack.

Pot Racks- Leather Lighted Pot Rack

Leaf Black Leather Lighted Pot Rack

There's something about this that I don't care for. I suppose it's mostly the shape. The big, puffy shape reminds me of a jellyfish, and the absurdist in me wants to hang streamers from it and paint it bright blue. lol It's too spindley to look modern and too modern to look antique. For me, I cannot imagine the kitchen this would belong in.

Pot Racks- Round Scroll Pot Rack

Calley Oval Pot Rack

This pot rack is pretty, but maybe a little too pretty for my tastes. There is one style that could pull it off. If you have an old victorian home, and actual tin ceilings, you might be able to get away with it. Even then, I suspect not. It's just too small.

Pot Racks- Firenza Gold Quartz Pot Rack

Firenza Gold Quartz Pot Rack

This rustic looking pot rack is a beautiful pot rack for a beautiful home. Not every type of kitchen will be able to pull this off. It's just too large for most kitchens. Furthermore, you're going to need a very old looking style. I can imagine a gorgeous travertine floor, and an old, antique stove. The ideal kitchen for it would have a little wood fired oven in one corner, to completely indulge the old world feel of the light/pot rack.

Pot Racks- Three Light Silver Pot Rack

Stainless Steel Three-Light Pot Rack

This is possibly the most beautiful of the selections.

Though you wouldn't immediately guess that it's a pot rack, it's hiding a place to hang your pots from in there. I think this is an exquisite style, and if you ever want a versatile pot rack that lets you display or hide your pots, this is it. I recommend adding a few mini shades that match your decor, just because I hate seeing a naked bulb.

Pot Racks- Wilderness Pot Rack

Buck Fever 30-Inch Wall Mounted Pot Rack

This wilderness pot rack would be great in any lake cabin, or log home. Although that's not my own personal style, I understand that a lot of people do like it. It's a very popular theme.

That aside, I wish that they had only put one deer. With two, it looks a little too cutesy for any cabin. Put just one, the one on the right, and I think it would have worked better.

Pot Racks- Birds and Berries Lighted Pot Rack

Bird and Berry Lighted Pot Rack

This has to be one of the cutest pot racks I've seen. I can see my mother in law loving it because of the birds.

There are a lot of pot racks that show off the lighting. There are a lot more than make it seem like a light that has the added function of a pot rack. This one does such a good job disguising the fact that it's a pot rack, that it would be surprising to see pots actually hanging from it. lol

Pot Racks- Terrace Nutmed Lighted Pot Rack

Terrace Nutmeg Lighted Pot Rack

This is called the "Terrace Nutmeg Lighted Pot Rack". I love how the lighting is integrated into the rack for a nearly invisible appearance. I'm not fond of pot racks that call attention to the lighting. This would look great in a room with lots of warm colors and stone tiles.

Pot Racks- Square Professional Pot Rack

The hooks along the side of this pot rack appear to be fixed, but the ones in the middle can be repositioned to make it work for you. This is rather small, but would look right in the kind of kitchen that uses many professional appliances.

Pot Racks- Wood and Copper Pot Rack

This wood and copper pot rack is not one of the most beautiful copper ones I've seen, but it has that very useful grid bottom that comes in so handy for storing things above it. Also, it has a wide variation in the type of hooks, and it's an extremely generous size.

Pot Racks- Pot Stand

This stand is meant for cookware, and although it would be a bit unusual to see a pot or pan on here, why not? There are different styles for different people, and it would be a funky, different kind of look.

Pot Racks- Half-Round Pot Rack

This wall mounted half-round pot rack is just about the most standard pot rack available. The grid helps with more storage, and there are ample hooks here, but the style doesn't help it much. Sure, it will work in practically any style kitchen or home, but I think that as far as style is concerned, it can get much better than this.

Pot Racks- Pot Rack with a Single Shelf

This pot rack with a single shelf is rather simple looking, but the photo shows a good way to use these to their maximum benefit. I love how it has the recipe boxes on it, and how the oils are there to add a little beauty.

The support arms will make it easy to store cookbooks on the shelf, without the need of bookends.

Pot Racks- Pot and Lid Rack

This pot and lid rack is probably the ugliest pot rack of the bunch, but it's also the most useful. The pegs on top hold lids, and the hooks on bottom hold pans. Usually, pot racks are fantastic for storing pots and pans, but they don't offer much in the way of a place to put the lids.

Though the style doesn't grab me, I'm intrigued by the usefulness.

Pot Racks- Plain Two Light Pot Rack

This plain two light pot rack is a little too country home for my tastes. The hooks along the bottom are very convenient, but the upper ones are baffling. If they are for utensils, there still isn't enough room to clear the shelf. Also, while lighting is usually nice when combined with a pot rack, it's almost useless here. The lights are not pretty, and won't add anything to your decor.
