Side Tables- Pineapple Base

This table is interesting. Those pineapple bases were out of style for the longest time, and now they seem to be making a comeback. I actually like it here, but it's going to be difficult to keep dusted properly. I don't care for the marble top as much. Marble is a little pretentious, and it's really out of fashion right now because it seems too stuffy.
Side Tables- Row Boat Table

This row boat table is interesting. While it's certainly cutesy, I think there are a very few homes that it could actually work in. I knew this couple that had a lighthouse theme. While it was taken a bit overboard, if they extended it to nautical, rather than just lighthouses, it would have worked better. In other words, just this one piece would have helped diversify the whole look of the room.

Side Tables- Elephant Table

Oh, man. I love this elephant table. I've got a whole theme in my living room, and this would work perfectly there, but the problem is big enough that I think I can't actually use it. See, I've got my living room just about perfect. I've been holding off on adding shelves, because I think it really doesn't need anything else. Especially not another big piece in the same theme. So while it fits perfectly, it would be overkill if I tried to put it. :( Really interesting, though.
Side Tables- Chest Table

This chest table has a lousy finish, but I really like the whole shape of it, so I'm willing to ignore that. I love the style of a chest sitting on top of a rack. It almost gives it the feel of an old fashioned luggage rack, and looks like a piece that could fit in with the Ethan Allen Hemingway collection (again, in a different finish). It's a cool little piece, and I would love to put a new veneer on it, or refinish it in some way.

Side Tables- Urn Table

This table is so pretty. Okay, sure. It's got the whole shabby chic element. But frankly, it depends on how you use it. If you stick it with lots of crocheted lace and faux antiques, it's going to look awful. If you put it with more upscale items, it's going to look more upscale.
Side Tables- Table with Shelf

I like this table. It's simple, and yet the legs are just unusual enough to make it interesting. Also, the shelf on the bottom has such a retro sort of feel to it. You could set a plant there. I think the coolest thing would be to give it a modern twist, and put a small, rectangular pot full of short grass on it. It would give it a very natural feel, which would work well with the color of the wood.

Side Tables- Children's Side Table

Come on, everyone. Say it with me. AWWWWWWW!
This side table would probably be better suited as a nightstand in a child's bedroom. And it's almost useless as a side table in an adult's living room. I don't care. It's cute!! (And at $45, it might just find its way into my home at Christmas time for a certain little girl. Shhh. Don't tell.)
Side Tables- Shelves and Door

This side table has a lot of storage, and although I can't believe I'm going to say this, that's not something you really need from a side table. They are more for holding a lamp, magazines, and maybe a coaster. Making them an end all, be all solution to your storage needs seems weird.

Side Tables- Modern Table

This modern table is not quite modern enough. While the strange shape might have passed muster as "modern" in the 80's, today, it's not simple enough. The new modern is stark, and simple. Simple black table with a simple glass vase, or a simple lamp on top. Not odd shapes and pieces of furniture that attract attention to themselves.
Side Tables- Round, Three Level Table

This round, three level table is pretty, but it's going to be difficult to place in a lot of homes. The size doesn't help it. See, for a classier home, it should be a little bigger. That's the problem. It has kind of a faux sophisticate look. It's not awful. In fact, I like it quite a bit. I just don't know what to do with it.

Dining Tables- Glass Square

This table has a really cool panel in the middle made of frosted glass. I think it would look great in a more sparsely decorated home with lots of dark woods and frosted glass, but not many other decorations. The table is beautiful, so why take away from that. Let it stand on its own, without any sort of table decoration.
Dining Tables- Retro Table

This table has a thoroughly retro look. It's iconic, and for a certain type of home, there just isn't any other sort of table that would do the trick. If it will work in your home with the black and white kitchen tiles and the antique stove, go for it. It will rock.

Dining Tables- Dogwood Tree Table

This table has the distinction of being the most expensive one I'm reviewing this week. Tell me, does this look like a $16,000+ table?? Nope, I didn't think so either. I just can't justify spending that much on any table, let alone one that looks like I could pick it up at a flea market for under $100.
Dining Tables- Round Wood Table

This table is pretty much like one of the previous ones I covered this week, except that it only has black on the bottom portion. I have to admit, I don't care for it as much. It just seems like it doesn't quite match up with itself.

Dining Tables- Z Chairs

This table is rather plain all on it's own, but add these chairs, and it instantly becomes cool. As far as the table goes, I love the base. I think it has a great modern look without pushing it too much.
